Roseburg Police jailed a man for a reported theft incident on Friday.

An RPD report said at 10:40 a.m. officers contacted the 36-year-old after he allegedly left Sherm’s Thunderbird in the 2500 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway without paying for whip cream that he had opened and eaten from. He was contacted and taken into custody without incident.

He was charged with third-degree theft and a probation violation. Bail was set at $1,250.
