Roseburg Police cited a woman for prohibited camping on Wednesday.

An RPD report said shortly after 3:35 p.m. officers contacted the 42-year-old in her tent, which was set up behind the carved eagle statue about 20 feet from the edge of Deer Creek, near the intersection of Northeast Stephens Street and Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard.

The camp allegedly violated the time and place portions of the camping ordinance. The woman was encouraged to get on housing listed and to consider staying at the Samaritan Inn.
