Roseburg Police cited two people for prohibited camping in Deer Creek Park on Southeast Pine Street on Tuesday afternoon.
An RPD report said at 4:40 p.m. officers contacted a 62-year-old man at his tent. It was approximately 15 feet by 18 feet and had multiple bicycles leaned up against the outside. The man was in violation of time and manner portions of the camping ordinance and had two previous convictions for prohibited camping. He was released after being cited.
At the same time, a 42-year-old woman was found camping in the park outside of the allowed time and in a prohibited manner. Her camp consisted of two tents covered by multiple tarps and had various items scattered around outside. The structure was around ten feet by thirty feet and had a trench cut in the ground to direct water away from the camp. The woman was released after being cited.
