Roseburg Police jailed a man after an alleged harassment incident on Saturday.

An RPD report said at 6:50 p.m. officers contacted the 64-year-old in the 1300 block of Southeast Stephens Street. The man allegedly had a half-full opened beer can next to him that he was drinking.

The man then reportedly took an unopened beer can and threw it at an officer, hitting them in the chest. He was taken into custody and charged with harassment. He was cited for drinking in public. Bail was set at $2,500.
