CITY COUNCIL WITH VARIED AGENDA MONDAY NIGHT

December 9, 2024 3:30 a.m.

The Roseburg City Council will have a varied agenda for its meeting Monday night.

Councilors will have second reading and adoption of an annexation and zone change ordinance for just over 5 acres of property in the 200 block of Northeast General Avenue. The annexation will bring the parcel into the city limits and change zoning from Medium Industrial to Mixed-Use. The purpose of the zone change is to enable the applicant to develop a mini-storage facility.

The council will consider awarding a Streetlight Maintenance Services contract. The city maintains approximately 350 streetlights principally located within the downtown area. This will be a five-year contract with the option to renew for an additional two years.

Councilors will award a contract for the Military and Altamont Storm Water Improvement Project. The project includes approximately 425 lineal feet of 12-inch diameter storm drainage pipe, two new manholes, and other site improvements to capture and re-route storm water to an existing storm water manhole located within city right-of-way.

Other items are on the agenda as well. The meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the city council chambers. It can be seen on the city’s Facebook page or viewed later at www.cityofroseburg.org
