An Idleyld Park was jailed following an alleged assault incident early Saturday.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said just after 12:00 a.m. the victim had two people call in to claim the 25-year-old man had been physical with the victim in the 1100 block of Lake Drive in Idleyld Park.

Deputies arrived and contacted the suspect at the residence. The man stated that the victim had left, but he did not want deputies to come into the home. The victim was contacted down the road. She said that she had substantial pain from the man punching her in the back and sides and headbutting her on the nose. The victim had bruises forming. The suspect walked into where deputies were talking and was taken into custody without incident.

The man was charged with 4th-degree assault, harassment, and interfering with making a police report. He was detained without bail.
