A travel trailer is considered a total loss following an early morning fire Friday.

Nick Wecks of Central Douglas County Fire & Rescue said just before 2:25 a.m. crews were dispatched to the fire on Meadowood Drive in Winston. Wecks said the trailer, located right next to a house, was almost fully involved when first responders arrived. A second nearby structure was threatened as well.

Wecks said thanks to the efficient response of firefighters, the fire spread was stopped and was contained to the travel trailer. It suffered significant damage. No injuries were reported by the resident or firefighters working at the scene.

CDF&R responded to the incident with two fire engines and one command unit, totaling 7 personnel. Due to the heavy fire damage, crews could not determine the cause of the fire. Crews at the scene were assisted by the Winston Police Department.
