A Riddle man was jailed for a probation violation on Thursday evening.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at approximately 6:45 p.m. the 65-year-old was contacted at his residence in the 400 block of East First Avenue, as a deputy knew the man was wanted by his probation officer.

The man was detained without bail.
