Crews with North Douglas County Fire & EMS dealt with a house fire in the Yoncalla area on Wednesday afternoon.

Information from the agency said just before 3:50 p.m. a caller reported seeing flames and was getting animals out of the house in the 3500 block of Eagle Valley Road. After first responders arrived, help from other departments was quickly called for. The home was on a narrow unimproved driveway, limiting access for fire engines. A total of 18 fire personnel responded to the fire.

Three adults were displaced due to the extent of the fire’s damage. The American Red Cross was notified to assist.

NDCFEMS was assisted by Oakland Rural Fire District, Elkton Rural Fire District and the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office. No further details regarding the fire have been released.
