Roseburg Police jailed a woman for prohibited camping on Monday.

An RPD report said at 3;00 p.m. the 40-year-old was contacted inside of her tent, which was set up in a nature area at the duck pond, in the 1000 block of Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard. Camping is prohibited in this area. The woman’s camp also had tarps attached to the trees and outside of her tent.

She had two prior convictions for camping and had been issued numerous warnings prior to Monday. She was jailed on $5,000 bail.
