One driver was taken to the hospital after a two-vehicle accident on Wednesday afternoon.

A Roseburg Police report said at approximately 2:50 p.m. a Sutherlin man was driving northbound in the 2400 block of Northeast Stephens Street when a Roseburg woman pulled out of the entrance to an apartment complex in her vehicle and collided with the first vehicle. The woman said she didn’t see that the other vehicle was already in the lane of travel.

The officer on the scene learned that the second-driver’s insurance had lapsed. The second driver was transported to CHI Mercy Medical Center, due to a complaint of shoulder pain. Both vehicles had front bumper damage, but no tow trucks were needed.

The driver who caused the wreck was cited for failure to yield before entering a roadway and for driving uninsured.
