ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN FOR UNAUTHORIZED USE OF A VEHICLE

Roseburg Police jailed a man for unauthorized use of a vehicle on Wednesday.

An RPD report said at 7:00 a.m. the 37-year-old was contacted after he allegedly stole a work truck from Douglas Electric Cooperative in the 1900 block of Northeast Stephens Street and drove away. The suspect was later found with the vehicle parked just off of Interstate 5 in Canyonville. Officers arrested the man without incident. He was also charged with second-degree criminal trespass and was detained without bail.

The utility recovered their vehicle.
