Umpqua Actors Community Theatre presents: All is Calm: The Christmas Truce of 1914, opening on Friday.
The scene is set on the Western Front when out of the violence of World War I, there is silence, then a song. A German soldier steps into No Man’s Land singing, “Stille Nacht”. That begins an extraordinary night of camaraderie, music and peace.
All is calm is a remarkable true story in the words and songs of the men who lived it.
