Roseburg Police jailed a woman and cited a man for a camping incident on Monday.
An RPD report said at 8:45 a.m. the pair were contacted at their tent near the intersection of Northwest Renann Avenue and Northwest Stewart Parkway. The camp belongs to the woman, as does a second tent and large encampment she had set up at the corner of Renann and Northwest Edenbower Boulevard. Both camps contained approximately two truckloads of debris and trash. The woman was cited multiple times last week, but the camp remained set up and just as dirty, according to the report.
She was charged with two counts of depositing trash within 100 yards of a waterway, as the camp she was sleeping in was set up about 25 feet from Newton Creek. Bail was set at $2,000.
Both were also cited for prohibited camping.
