In the KQEN Cultural Spotlight:
Umpqua Valley Arts has several classes coming soon.
*The 2025 Winter Term at the Clay Place is almost sold out. Space is limited for the 8-week term which begins January 8th.
*A class on making 3D ceramic ornaments will be offered on Saturday, November 30th from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
*Two candle making workshops are coming in December. Open to those ages 15 and up, they will be available on Monday December 9th, and Monday December 16th. Workshops will run from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
*Registration continues for UVAA’s ugly drawing class. In this three-week class, students will learn to break away from the pressures to create the “perfect drawing”. This class is held Wednesdays and Fridays, December 4th through December 20th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Applications are already open for the Summer Arts Festival. Art vendors, food and beverage vendors, and performers can apply.
