A Wind Advisory is in effect from 1:00 p.m. Tuesday through 7:00 a.m. Wednesday for much of southern Oregon.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service said south winds of 25 to 35 miles per hour are expected with gusts up to 60 miles per hour.
The Advisory area includes Douglas and Jackson counties and applies to Interstate 5 and highways 138, 140, 199, 62 and 42. It also includes Josephine County and eastern Curry County.
Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and power outages may result. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
