ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN FOR ALLEGED ASSAULT INCIDENT

Roseburg Police jailed a man for an alleged assault incident on Sunday morning.

An RPD report said just before 6:40 a.m. officers responded to a business in the 700 block of Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard after a caller said that employees were being assaulted. During an investigation, it was determined that the 44-year-old from California had allegedly thrown hot coffee at an employee before kicking her repeatedly, seemingly unprovoked. The woman sustained multiple injuries from the attack.

The suspect was located and transported to corrections. He was charged with 4th-degree assault and 2nd-degree disorderly conduct. The man was jailed on $8,750 bail.
