A Roseburg man was jailed Friday for a reported past assault.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 9:00 p.m. a deputy responded after a caller said there had been a prior assault in the 2000 block of Roberts Creek Road, south of Green. The suspect and the victim had different stories regarding how the victim’s front teen got knocked out. The incident allegedly took place on October 19th. There was no other physical evidence besides some pictures the victim had taken of her injuries.

The 39-year-old suspect was taken into custody and charged with 4th-degree assault. He was detained without bail.
