SLOW VEHICLE LEADS TO 4-VEHICLE CRASH, WEST OF ROSEBURG

November 14, 2024 9:15 a.m.

A slow vehicle led to a 4-vehicle crash west of Roseburg on Wednesday.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 2:00 p.m. a pickup had its flashers on while traveling on Garden Valley Road near Gypsy Lane. A pickup following a Jeep and an SUV got into a chain reaction accident as they all tried to slow down, due to the first vehicle. No injuries were reported but each vehicle had to be towed due to the damage sustained.

As all the vehicles other than the first one were following two closely, the deputy chose to issue no citations, which was acceptable to all drivers. The drivers exchanged insurance information with one another.
