WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 10:00 A.M. TUESDAY ABOVE 5,000 FEET

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 10:00 a.m. Tuesday above 5,000 feet for mountain areas in southern Oregon.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service said additional snow accumulations between 3 and 6 inches are forecast. Winds will gust as high as 35 miles per hour.

The Advisory area includes the Southern Oregon Cascades, mainly north of Highway 140, including Crater Lake and highways 62, 230, 138 and 58.

Forecasters said motorists should plan on slippery road conditions which could impact the Tuesday morning commute. Drivers should slow down and use caution while traveling. Get updated road information at www.tripcheck.com
