CANYONVILLE WOMAN JAILED FOR ELUDING INCIDENT

A Canyonville woman was jailed following an eluding incident on Sunday.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 3:00 p.m. a deputy saw the woman driving a sedan on Interstate 5 northbound near Canyon Creek. The deputy attempted to catch up with the vehicle and allegedly observed traffic violations near the Canyonville off ramp. A traffic stop was attempted but the driver eluded at low speeds to the 400 block of Tower Lane in Canyonville.

The driver was identified as 53-year-old Lisa Wilson. She was compliant and taken into custody in her driveway. Wilson was found to have a warrant and was also reportedly in possession of a small amount of heroin. She was charged with attempting to elude a police officer, for the warrant and unlawful possession of heroin. Wilson was detained without bail.
