Christmas Tree permits for cutting trees from Bureau of Land Management-administered lands will be available from the BLM’S Roseburg District beginning November 12th at this link: https://forestproducts.blm.gov/customer/permitselect/OR
Public Affairs Specialist Greg Deimel said in addition, those interested in getting a Christmas tree permit in person can purchase a permit starting November 29th at the BLM Office on Northwest Garden Valley Boulevard, during business hours.
Deimel said the cost for a single tree up to 12-feet high is $5. A household is limited to three trees per permit. No commercial permits will be issued. The permit authorizes purchasers to cut their own tree on a self-serve basis in either the Swiftwater or South River Resource areas on BLM-managed lands.
Deimel said permits and maps are also available for purchase by phone at 440-4930 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on weekdays.
