Oregon’s two members of Congress that represent parts of Douglas County have retained their seats.
Unofficial General Election results from the Oregon Secretary of State’s Office as of 3:00 a.m. Wednesday show 4th District Congresswoman Val Hoyle beating Republican Monique DeSpain 53 percent to 44 percent. In Douglas County voting, DeSpain showed a 57 percent to 40 percent lead.
2nd District Congressman Cliff Bentz had a wide lead over Democrat and Progressive challenger Dan Ruby, 64 percent to 33 percent. Douglas County voters favored Bentz by a wider margin, 71 percent to 25 percent.
