NEARLY 48 PERCENT OF BALLOTS TURNED IN, AS OF FRIDAY EVENING

Nearly 48 percent of ballots have been turned in for the 2024 Douglas County November Presidential General Election, as of Friday evening.

County Clerk Daniel Loomis said 47.86 percent, or 42,989 ballots have been received. Loomis said that lags 16.86 percent behind the participation rate for the same point in the 2020 Douglas County November Presidential General Election.

Voters can use one of 15 official ballot drop sites, until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday night and be assured their ballot will be received and counted.
