NEARLY 44 PERCENT OF COUNTY VOTERS HAVE CAST A BALLOT

Nearly 44 percent of county voters have cast a ballot in the 2024 Douglas County November Presidential General Election, as of Thursday evening.

County Clerk Daniel Loomis said 43.61 percent, or 39,176 ballots have been received. Loomis said that lags 18.22 percent behind the participation rate for the same point in the 2020 Douglas County November Presidential General Election.

Tuesday, November 8th at 8:00 p.m. is the election deadline. Voters who take their ballot to the post office on or near Election Day should ask workers to stamp their envelope with a hand-cancellation stamp. A ballot with a postmark after Election Day will not be counted.

Voters can use one of the 15 official ballot drop sites until 8:00 p.m. on Election Night and be assured it will be received and counted.
