ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN FOLLOWING DUII INCIDENT

Roseburg Police jailed a man following a DUII incident early Wednesday.

An RPD report said at 2:30 a.m. the 41-year-old was contacted during a traffic stop in the 900 block of Southeast Stephens Street. His license returned suspended at the misdemeanor level and he showed signs of impairment.

He was arrested and transported to corrections where he reportedly refused standard field sobriety tests and a breath sample. A search warrant was authored and signed by a judge for his blood alcohol level. He was charged with driving under the influence of intoxicants and for driving while suspended. Bail was set at $16,250. The man was cited for driving uninsured and failure to test for intoxicants.
