Roseburg Police jailed a man and cited a woman for prohibited camping on Monday.

An RPD report said at 11:30 a.m. the 45-year-old man and 26-year-old woman were contacted in their camp set up under the north side of the Stewart Parkway Bridge in the 2000 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway. The camp was set up after 8:00 a.m., had items outside of the tent and was in an area where camping is prohibited.

The man had 2 prior convictions for the offense and was charged with a misdemeanor count. He was detained without bail. The woman had one past conviction and was cited and released on the scene.
