Roseburg Police jailed a man following a reported trespass incident on Monday.

An RPD report said just before 2:00 p.m. officers responded to a residence in the 600 block of Northeast Alameda Street, after a caller said a transient male had entered the home as was staring at the victim as she was in the kitchen cooking. Officers found the 40-year-old sitting on the front steps of the home, refusing to leave. He was taken into custody without incident and his parole officer wanted him detained for the new crime.

The man was charged with first-degree criminal trespass and a parole violation. He was detained on $6,250 bail.
