VEHICLE ELUDES DEPUTY UP TO 127 MILES PER HOUR ON INTERSTATE FIVE

A vehicle eluded a deputy during a pursuit incident early Saturday morning.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 2:15 a.m. the deputy tried to conduct a traffic stop on a newer passenger vehicle while headed southbound on Interstate Five. The car sped up when the deputy activated his overhead lights and sirens. The vehicle’s speed went up to 127 miles per hour. The deputy lost sight of it around the Scotts Valley area in north county.
