A medical event led to an accident Friday morning.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said shortly after 10:00 a.m. a 69-year-old Roseburg man was driving in the 500 block of Sweetbriar Avenue just north of Roseburg when his pickup crashed into a mailbox. The driver and the resident exchanged insurance information. The resident said the cost to fix the mailbox, and the fence would be approximately $500. Damage to the vehicle was minor.
