The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is seeking help from the public in a missing person case.

Family members have reported that 39-year-old Shane Thomas left his home in Lookingglass headed towards Shasta, California on September 26th.  A text was received saying that Thomas would be home on September 28th. The last text received was on October 1st and stated that Thomas would be back home in a day or two. A friend was able to ping his phone that day and it showed a Sparks, Nevada location.

Thomas is driving a silver 2-door Subaru and has a Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy named Lucy with him.

Thomas is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall with blue eyes, long brown hair and tattoos. His family is very concerned regarding his whereabouts.

Anyone with information is asked to call DCSO at 440-4471 and reference case #4-3883. An Attempt to Locate alert was made to law enforcement agencies in seven western states.
