NO CRIMINAL CHARGES FILED AFTER HIT AND RUN INCIDENT

No criminal charges were filed following a hit and run incident on Monday.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said just after 12:00 p.m. a victim reported that an unknown sedan had side swiped his vehicle on Old Highway 99 South near Tipton Road, just south of Roseburg.  A deputy located the vehicle in question, which had a small amount of paint transfer on the outside driver side mirror.

The 20-year-old driver claimed to not know that his vehicle had caused damage to the sedan. The victim did not wish to pursue charges. Due to the small amount of damage and no desire for charges, the driver was cited and released for driving with no operator license.
