DRIVER LOSES CONTROL OF VEHICLE, CRASHES INTO A FENCE AND TRANSFORMER

A driver lost control of his vehicle, which then went over a curb, crashed into a fence in front of a home and hit a transformer box in Green on Friday morning.

A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said at 10:00 a.m. the 77-year-old was turning onto the 100 block of Capitola Court from Roberts Creek Road when his foot slipped onto the gas pedal. It was unknown how much damage was caused to the transformer. Pacific Power arrived on the scene to deal with the equipment. No one was injured.
