Umpqua Brewfest is happening in downtown Roseburg on Saturday.
An Umpqua Watersheds release said the 13th annual event will be held behind Old Soul Pizza on Southeast Main Street, during the Roseburg Blocktober Fest. Brew Fest is a community celebration of clean water, craft beer, and sustainable living in southern Oregon’s hundred valleys of the Umpqua.
The focus of the event is allowing for patrons to taste craft beers, ciders and other brews, from throughout Oregon. Along with beverages, there will be live music on the Umpqua Outback Stage from the Swiftwater Bluegrass Band, Jonathon Foster, James and the Lost Dogs and Lance Canales and the Flood. The Umpqua Valley Brewers Guild will be grilling bratwurst as well.
Admission to the Brew Fest is $15. Attendees must be age 21 or over. Identification is required. The fee includes a tasting glass and five tasting tickets. There will also be non-alcoholic beverages as well. Designated drivers are encouraged to join the celebration. 100 percent of proceeds go to Umpqua Watersheds environmental education program in local schools.
Volunteers are still needed. Those who work a shift will receive free admission, a tasting glass, tickets and a t-shirt.
