VA PHARMACY COPAYMENTS HAVE RESUMED

October 2, 2024 3:20 a.m.

The Veteran’s Administration has resumed charging copayments for outpatient pharmacy services this month.

A Roseburg VA release said copayment had been paused during the transition to the new Federal electronic health record system.

On November statements, veterans will see required copayment charges for pharmacy medications dispensed on or after October 1st. From then on, pharmacy copayment charges will be seen on the next month’s statement – just as would happen for veterans receiving care and pharmacy benefits from any other VA medical center.

Those with questions about their statement or who need assistance with medical debt relief can contact the Health Resource Center at 866-400-1238 from 5:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
