ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN ON DRUG CHARGES

Roseburg Police jailed a man on drug charges early Thursday.

An RPD report said just after 12:40 a.m. officers contacted two men who were sitting in a vehicle in the parking lot of a business in the 2200 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway. One of the men, age 30 from Dillard, was on probation for drug crimes. When he stepped out of the vehicle officers reportedly observed a bindle of suspected drugs in his pocket. Officers located approximately 9.47 grams of suspected fentanyl and approximately 9.56 grams of suspected methamphetamine.

He was charged with unlawful possession of meth and unlawful possession of a schedule 2 controlled substance. He was detained without bail.
