ROSEBURG HAS RECORD BREAKING HEAT FOR TUESDAY

Roseburg had record breaking heat for the date on Tuesday.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that the mercury reached 99 degrees at the Roseburg Regional Airport. The previous record for September 24th was 95 degrees, set in 1997.

Forecasters said the Umpqua Valley will see a big cool down Wednesday with a high in the middle 70s. That’s over a 20 degree drop from Tuesday. Highs will be near 80 degrees Thursday through Saturday.
