Deputies with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office jailed a man Friday for warrants and for failure to report as a sex offender.

A DCSO report said at about 6:40 p.m. the deputy observed 37-year-old Joshua Breeding walking along Northeast Stephens Street near Page Road in the Winchester area and knew he was wanted. Breeding was taken into custody without incident.

Breeding claimed he could only be charged for failing to make an annual report once a year and that the Oregon State Police had already charged him. He was detained for five warrants and for the sex offender charge.

Breeding was detained on $25,000 bail. He was released on Saturday morning.
