Roseburg Police jailed a man following an alleged theft incident on Sunday.

An RPD report said at 4:00 p.m. officers responded to a business in the 2100 block of Northwest Stewart Parkway after a caller said a theft was in progress. Officers contacted the 27-year-old as he reportedly walked out of the business with two cologne bottles in his pocket. Officers retrieved the bottles as the man ultimately admitted to stealing the cologne as well as stealing from the business multiple other times.

The man allegedly provided false information because he said he said warrants and didn’t want to go to jail. He was charged with first-degree theft and warrants. Bail was set at $30,000.
