HEAT ADVISORY EXTENDED THROUGH FRIDAY NIGHT

The National Weather Service has extended a Heat Advisory through 10:00 p.m. Friday for much of southern Oregon.

Forecasters said afternoon high temperatures between 100 and 105 degrees are expected.

The Advisory area includes central Douglas, Josephine, Jackson and eastern Curry counties. Forecasters said hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses.
