Sutherlin Police conducted an arson investigation on Saturday.

An SPD report said just before 3:30 p.m. a witness noticed one of the porta potties in Central Park on West Central Avenue smelled heavily like smoke and notified another person who called the fire department. The door to the porta potty was opened and a large plume of smoke was seen coming out.  The incident remains under investigation.
