The Diamond Complex, burning in the Umpqua National Forest, is at 11,053 acres and 53 percent contained as of midday Thursday.
A UNF update said 23 of the original 29 fires in the complex are now 100 percent contained.
The Middle Fork Fire in the northwest corner of Crater Lake National Park is 5,244 acres and zero percent contained. There was moderate smoke and fire activity Wednesday as the fire continued to creep at a slow rate of spread. Throughout the fire area there is an extreme hazard to firefighters due to falling dead standing trees remaining from fires in 2015 and 2017.
Fire updates:
*Pine Bench Fire: 3,943 acres and 30 percent contained
*Potter Fire: 3,336 acres and 6 percent contained
*Trep Fire: 545 acres and zero percent contained
Cooler temperatures and increased humidity should result in moderating fire behavior.
