ROSEBURG POLICE JAIL MAN FOR PAROLE VIOLATION

Roseburg Police jailed a man for a parole violation on Wednesday.

An RPD report said just after 10:00 a.m. an officer initiated a traffic stop on a sedan in the 300 block of West Harvard Avenue. A male got out of the passenger seat while the vehicle was still moving. During the stop officers identified the driver as a 26-year-old Yoncalla woman. The man who fled the vehicle was identified as a 32-year-old Roseburg man. He is on parole and one of his parole conditions is to not have contact with the driver. The man was located at a nearby business. His parole officer authorized a detainer. He was charged with parole violation and was detained without bail.
