DIAMOND COMPLEX AT 10,984 ACRES, 38 PERCENT CONTAINED

The Diamond Complex, burning on the Umpqua National Forest, consists of 28 lightning caused fires totaling approximately 10,984 acres and 38 percent contained.

A UNF update said 20 of the original 28 fires are now 100 percent contained.

On Saturday, there were two initial attack responses – the Luke Fire and the Twin Peaks Fire, within the operational area. Initial attack resources went direct, secured and conducted mop up on those fires.

The largest fires are:

*Middle Fork Fire:  5,222 acres and zero percent contained

*Pine Bench Fire: 3,922 acres and 30 percent contained

*Potter Fire: 3,320 acres and 6 percent contained

*Trep Fire: 543 acres and zero percent contained
