DIAMOND COMPLEX RISES TO 10,843 ACRES

The Diamond Complex, burning on the Umpqua National Forest, consists of 28 lightning caused fires totaling approximately 10,843 acres, with 823 people assigned.

A UNF update said the Middle Fork Fire in the northwest corner of Crater Lake National Park has 59 people assigned. The park remains open. The North Entrance Road is temporarily closed for firefighters to prepare control lines with machinery along that road.

17 of the 28 fires in the Diamond Complex are now 100 percent contained.

The largest fires include:

*Middle Fork Fire: 5,197 acres and zero percent contained

*Pine Bench Fire: 3,706 acres and 30 percent contained

*Potter Fire: 3,040 acres and 4 percent contained

*Lemolo Fire: 1,246 acres and 46 percent contained
