In the KQEN Cultural Spotlight:

Umpqua Community College Performing and Visual Arts presents a Music Educator’s Extravaganza on Sunday September 8th at 3:00 p.m. in Swanson Amphitheatre on the UCC campus.

The concert will feature local secondary school music educators performing with the UCC music faculty. It will include performances by band and choir directors from Roseburg High School. Sutherlin High School, South Umpqua High School, Douglas High School, North Douglas High School, Phoenix Charter School, JoLane Middle School and Fremont Middle school.

The event will feature a wide range of musical styles, including classical, jazz and Americana. The audience can bring their chair or blankets to enjoy the outdoor Swanson Amphitheatre.

The event is free.
