DIAMOND COMPLEX UP TO 6,315 ACRES

August 5, 2024 10:15 a.m.

The Diamond Complex on the Umpqua National Forest is up to 6,315 acres with 513 people assigned, as of midday Monday.

An UNF update said the Northern Rockies Complex Incident Management Team 3 has assumed command of the Diamond Complex and the Middle Fork Fire. Resources are being shared with both fires.

The largest fires are:

*Pine Bench Fire: 2,143 acres and 15 percent contained

*Lemolo Fire: 1,246 acres and 20 percent contained

*Potter Fire: 989 acres and zero percent contained

*Trail Fire: 843 acres and 40 percent contained

*Watson Fire: 237 acres and 50 percent contained

The drying trend that started Sunday is expected to continue with warmer temperatures and lower humidity. Fire behavior will depend partially on smoke conditions. Smoke may reduce visibility and hinder air operations.
