A Roseburg woman was jailed for a reported menacing incident on Tuesday.
A Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report said the 48-year-old had been staying with family members and may not have been taking her mental health medications. Tuesday, she reportedly seemed agitated and paranoid. She had been told not to come into a family member’s bedroom without their permission, so they could have a bit of privacy.
At 1:15 p.m. the woman allegedly kept coming in and became upset when the relative started video recording her, because she was yelling. This led to the woman reportedly taking a swing at the victim, stating she wished she could kill her, and grabbing the phone. In the process, the woman reportedly pushed the bedroom door off its hinges.
She was charged with menacing and second-degree criminal mischief. The woman was detained without bail.
