Roseburg Police jailed a man for being a felon in possession of a restricted weapon on Monday.

An RPD report said shortly after 10:30 a.m. the 33-year-old was contacted in the Parole and Probation office. He allegedly had a spring assisted knife in his possession, which was concealed in his backpack. As a convicted felon, the man cannot possess the knife.

He was charged with a transitional leave violation and was detained without bail.
