The Bureau of Land Management has implemented restrictions and prohibitions on specific activities and equipment to mitigate the risk of human-caused fires on lands administered by the BLM-Roseburg District.
Cheyne Rossbach of the BLM said this includes additional restrictions for campfires in the Scaredman Campground due to fires in the area. Rossbach said the order will remain in effect until further notice.

Hot Weather Returning for At Least Ten Days to Umpqua Valley AM Jul 30 KB
Hot weather is returning to the Umpqua Valley starting Wednesday with the potential to stick around for the foreseeable future.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that high temperatures should be in the 90s for ten days at a minimum. Thursday is forecast to even get to the triple digits. The weather service said record high temperatures will likely not be reached during this time.
